Tuscany Tree House

Anchored 20 feet up in the air, the Tuscany tree house can accommodate up to 4 adults with a private queen bedroom and queen sleeper sofa. It also includes expansive windows, a full bathroom with hot shower, large screen TV, queen bed, all linens and kitchenette facilities. A private hot tub is included on the front deck area.

Almost Heaven Cabin

Almost Heaven is the ultimate romantic getaway, offering a cozy, secluded retreat in the heart of the New River Gorge. The Dome

Enjoy rustic luxury and big, beautiful panoramic views from our new Moonshiner Tree Dome. Reminiscent of a moonshine maker’s secret getaway, this glamping site features locally sourced rustic wood wall coverings, whiskey barrel sink, mason jar light fixtures, copper-clad shower, and our usual amenities: hot tub, gas grill, outdoor fire pit and fully equipped kitchen. The Moonshiner sleeps up to 4 guests with a king bed on the main floor and a queen sleeping area in the loft, and is available for guest reservations beginning June 1, 2023.

Hawks Nest Lodge – Scenic Stays in the Gorge


Enjoy breathtaking canyon views, modern comfort, and endless activities right at your doorstep in the heart of Hawks Nest State Park.

If you prefer a more traditional hotel-style stay, Hawks Nest Lodge is a perfect choice. With 31 rooms overlooking the New River Gorge — many with private balconies — this lodge combines comfort and convenience with one of the best views in West Virginia. Guests can enjoy on-site dining at The Overlook Restaurant, seasonal swimming, jet boat tours, fishing, hiking, and even a nature center. Just 10 miles north of the New River Gorge Bridge, Hawks Nest is ideal for travelers who want to relax, explore, and have adventure options right where they’re staying.

Forest View

This room has either a private balcony or patio with outdoor chairs looking into the forest surrounding the lodge. A perfect place to relax and bird watch. Cable flat screen television, wireless internet, table with chairs, alarm clock, air conditioning, and step-in shower round out the amenities offered in our rooms. Our 2 queen double beds forest view room will accommodate up to 4 guests. All rooms are nonsmoking.

Canyon View

Our ADA Accessible canyon view room features one queen bed, and will accommodate up to 2 guests. The room has a private balcony with outdoor chairs overlooking the beautiful canyon. Cable television, wireless internet, table with chairs, alarm clock, air conditioning, and step-in shower round out the amenities offered in our rooms. All rooms are nonsmoking.

Canyon King

This room has either a private balcony or patio with outdoor chairs overlooking the New River Gorge offering spectacular gorge and mountain views. A sitting area with love seat, cable television, wireless internet, table with chairs, mini refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, alarm clock, air conditioning, hairdryer, and step-in shower round out the amenities offered in our rooms. Our spacious 1 king bed corner suite gorge view room will accommodate up to 4 guests.

Babcock State Park - Cabins and Campgroin


Find your own slice of Almost Heaven at Babcock State Park. With 28 cabins and 52 campground sites, you will surely find the perfect stay for your next getaway. Enjoy a cozy cabin nestled along Glade Creek or opt for a serene spot in the thick forest. Every corner of Babcock State Park offers a quiet place to relax and unwind.

Cabins:

Babcock State Park offers 28 cabins to pick from on your next adventure. The first 13 are located along Glade Creek, close to the park’s famous grist mill. An additional 15 cabins are located deeper into the park. Whichever cabin you stay in, you can be sure to have a quiet place to relax and unwind. Three styles of cabins are available at Babcock, described below. All cabins have Wi-Fi, modern appliances and are stocked with cooking utensils, dishes, flatware, bed linens and bath towels. Specific cabins (1-2, 9, 12-15, 17-18 and 24-27) are designated pet-friendly.

Campground:

  • The campground is open 3rd Friday in April through the 4th Monday in October, weather permitting
  • Campsites may be reserved anytime online, by phone or at the park headquarters office
  • Reservations may be made for no less than two consecutive nights on weekends (Fri. and Sat.) or one night (Sun.-Thurs.)
  • 52-unit campground, 28 sites with electric-only hookups, four of which are accessible and 24 non-electric sites
  • Accommodates tents or trailers and has a central bathhouse with coin-operated laundry
  • Two water fill-up stations and two sewage facilities
  • Firewood and ice are available for purchase
  • WiFi is available; Cell phone service is available from most major carriers

Babcock State Park Cabins
