A whole new way to explore the New River Gorge is coming in April 2027.
West Virginia Adventures is excited to announce our new partnership with Polaris Adventures, bringing Polaris Slingshot rentals and open-air touring experiences to the New River Gorge beginning April 2027.
For years, West Virginia Adventures has helped guests experience the New River Gorge from the river. Now, we’re taking the adventure to the road.
With the arrival of Polaris Slingshots, visitors will have a completely new way to experience the mountains, scenic roads, overlooks, small towns, and unforgettable landscapes that make Southern West Virginia one of the best adventure destinations on the East Coast.
And the best part?
2027 reservations are now open.
What Is a Polaris Slingshot?
Part motorcycle, part roadster and unlike just about anything else on the road, the Polaris Slingshot is a three-wheeled, open-air vehicle built for experiencing the journey just as much as the destination.
With side-by-side seating and an open cockpit, a Slingshot puts you right in the middle of the sights, sounds and mountain air of West Virginia.
There’s no roof between you and the mountains.
No windows separating you from the scenery.
Just you, the open road and the New River Gorge.

The New River Gorge is famous for whitewater rafting, but some of the area’s most incredible scenery is found along the winding roads surrounding the Gorge.
Beginning in April 2027, West Virginia Adventures guests will be able to get behind the wheel and explore the region in a Polaris Slingshot.

- Labor Day weekend
- Gauley Season
- Peak fall foliage weekends
- Special events in the New River Gorge and Fayetteville area
With a limited number of Slingshots available, prime dates and times may fill quickly.
