Rafting on the New River is a classic white water experience you don't want to miss. It's exciting and beautiful and a place where everyone can let loose and have a great time.

If you have a family with small children or less adventurous types and are looking for something the whole family can do, the Upper New River has something for everyone, even children as young as 5 years old. You can jazz things up by adding a few duckies to your trip for a tandem or solo paddle down the river. Kids love 'em and there's no extra cost to include them on your Upper New River Trip. (Just be sure to let us know when you reserve your trip.)

    The Upper New Express
    This trip is great for families on the go. A 7-mile stretch of water with big pools, Jump Rock, several small, splashy rapids and 2 class III rapids near the end to give you just a taste of of what it's like on the Lower New.

    From the time you show up to the time the river trip finishes is approximately 4 1/2 hours.

    Experience the New River in a brand new way! Combine your Lower New River Raft Trip with a Half-Day Climb and Rappel for a unique vacation adventure. Dinner included: barbeque, pasta or hamburgers/hotdogs.

    You'll take on the exciting whitewater rapids (Class I-V) of the Lower New River on your first day with WVA. We allow plenty of time for surfing and playing to make the most of our time on the river. Camp with us that night and the next day you'll head out for a Half-day Day Beginner's Climbing and Rappelling Trip. This trip focuses on teaching you the basics of rock climbing and experiencing the thrill of rappelling along the rock cliffs of the New River Gorge. (Breakfast and Dinner Add-On's are available.)

It runs north for 320 miles where it meets the Ohio River and continues its 700-mile journey to the Gulf of Mexico.
