Upper New River Gorge Rafting Trips
The Upper New River (Class I-III) is a relatively calm stretch of water, dotted with playful rapids that make it the perfect introduction to whitewater rafting in West Virginia. The Upper New is ideal for scout and church groups, seniors, families with young children (5 years+), or anyone else who prefers the lighter side of adventure.

Paddle a 1 or 2 person duckie or go as a group in a raft. Up for a more relaxing float trip? Let your guide do most of the work with an oar mount frame. It really doesn’t matter how you go…just being together with family and friends on the river is enough. You will be amazed at the abundance of wildlife and beautiful scenery as you make your way along the riverbank.
Full day trips include plenty of side activities which create a fun-filled experience for all. You’ll have the chance to take a ridiculous leap from Jump Rock, hike to a secret waterfall (depending on water levels), munch on a delicious riverside lunch and cool off with a dip in the water. It’s definitely a trip you’ll remember!
